My Creative Spirit was founded in the UK by Clare Charvill in 2013. As a child Clare loved all things handmade and was keen on many different crafts. This passion for crafts has been a constant thread through her life; she stitched her way through the 1970s, knitted her way through the 1980s and sugarcrafted her way through the 1990s. She then wanted to share her love for all things creative by teaching. She ran evening classes at a local college for ten years and qualified as a further education teacher in 1994.

In 2011 Clare discovered the vintage papers created by Graphic 45 and loved the bygone era the papers evoked. By combining all her years of crafting skills, she began her papercraft journey. When Graphic 45 ran a design team call in 2012, Clare applied and was selected to become a member of their international team. Two years later, she was invited to become the Graphic 45 Ambassador for the UK and has represented the brand on Create and Craft TV channel in the UK. Clare has also presented her own kits on Hochanda TV channel.

On launching My Creative Spirit in 2013, she continued to use Graphic 45 papers as the inspiration for her range of bespoke craft products, project ideas and project kits. These enable customers to capture their own treasured memories and to make beautiful vintage styled gifts and keepsakes.

Clare now also uses other paper collections and media to develop new kits and projects. She shares creativity through her website, blog, YouTube channel and Facebook page with crafters all over the world and runs workshops and retreats for people that love her unique style and flair.
