Launching our New Traveller's Notebook
Everything's blooming.......!
Colour me Happy........
Hi everyone, I hope you've having a creative week. With all the preparations for this weekends craft retreat here in the Heart of England done with two days to spare, I've had a little time to get creative myself with the Kaleidoscope collection from Graphic 45. The paper pads are full of fabulous inspirational phrases and, as the title describes packed full of a kaleidoscope of colour. I absolutely love it. A truly trendy collection perfect for the modern crafter. If you haven't seen the collection yet click here to take a peek.
I took a selection of papers from the 8 x 8 Kaleidoscope pad to alter our Mini Cabinet and Drawer Set and the covers of the five little albums that fit inside. At 4 1/4" x 3 5/8" they really are teeny weeny and make perfect little scrapbooks for photo booth/passport sized pictures, journaling and ephemera. I loved how the signature sheets from the collection worked on the outside of the cabinet. The elephants are on the side we can't see in the picture above.
The drawers in the cabinet hold 6" x 4" photos too.
If you'd like to shop the look here's the supply list. Alternatively why not come along and join me for a one day workshop at Stoneleigh, Saturday 27th July. This is our project.
I hope I've inspired you to be creative with this colourful collection. Enjoy the rest of your week, thanks for calling by, and if you've coming along to join me for a very crafty weekend have a good journey here and see you Friday eve/Sat. :-) C
Go Doo Dad crazy ...
Hi everyone,
I've had so many requests about the doo dads I add to my ribbon ends and where to buy them from I thought I'd do a quick video on how to make them, so you can add them to your project too, if you don't already.
They're a great way of adding weight to those wild ribbon ends that never want to sit where you place them and stop fraying too. Here's how to make them:
Have fun with your doo dads and thanks for calling by :-) C
Creating Vintage Wall Art.......
If you follow me you'll know I love taking a flat sheet of paper and bringing it to life. After designing a number of projects with the truly vintage Love Notes collection by Graphic 45 I had a few sheets of paper left over. I love the large violin so decided top create a dimensional piece of wall art for my craft room using our 12 1/4" x 12 1/4" Box Frame Kits with a 3D violin as the focal point.
If you fancy making one yourself here's how to do it. See the supply list at the end of the post for details of all products used.
Oh, my love is like a red, red rose
