Tonight we're really pleased to be welcoming the lovely Sue Tossell onto our Design team.

Here's Sue's intro:

Hi my name is Sue Tossell and I live in the south of the UK. I have crafted since I was a young child learning to knit, sew and crochet from my Mother and Grandmother. I was always making clothes for my dolls and when I got older I made clothes for myself and then later my own family.

I’ve tried all sorts of crafts over the years from jewellery making, cross stitch and machine knitting (at one stage I owned seven machines). I then bought an embroidery sewing machine to embroider onto my knitwear and that took over. From there I got into making cards using the embroidery and personalising them.

It didn’t take long for me to discover there was so much more and I found myself spending all my spare cash on stamps, inks, card stock etc. That was nearly twenty years ago now. Several years ago I joined a great group of people, The UK Stampers Network, which has members from all corners of the UK. We exchange ATC’s, Birthday Cards, Inchies, RAK and several more lists of things easy to post. We hold two retreats a year, one a residential retreat and one that is called our cheap as chips retreat, where you have to sort your own accommodation. There are three of us that teach a class at the residential retreat. Mine have been Mixed Media,  different ways to make backgrounds and this year I ran one on Album making. Five years ago I discovered Graphic 45 and started a love of scrapbook papers. About three and a half years ago I found  Clare with her retreats and workshops. Now I like nothing more that sitting down with a new pad of designs and imagining what I can make with it.

Thank you Sue.

We look forward to sharing your projects in the very near future.

Enjoy the rest of your week, stay safe and happy crafting:-) C
